Middlesbrough are back in for Brighton's Jeremy Sarmiento as they look to hijack Birmingham's deal for the attacking midfielder.

They have returned to the negotiating table after Birmingham agreed a permanent transfer with Brighton for Sarmiento. 

Nothing has been agreed between Boro and Brighton at this stage but the Championship club are back in talks over a permanent deal.

Boro had previously held talks with Brighton before Birmingham advanced on a deal to sign Sarmiento. 

Watford sign Bove from Roma

Watford have completed the signing of Edoardo Bove from Roma

The 23-year-old midfielder has penned a five-and-a-half-year deal at Vicarage Road. 

Watford FC is pleased to announce the signing of Edoardo Bove on a five-and-a-half-year deal.

Bove suffered a cardiac arrest in December 2024. 

Serie A rules prevent players from playing in competitive games with a defibrillator, which the midfielder had fitted following the incident in the game between Fiorentina and Inter Milan.

He has already been out on the training field with the clubs medical staff and his return to full training will be phased.

A return to competitive action is expected between four to six weeks.

Manchester United left-back Harry Amass is expected to join Norwich City on loan for the rest of the season. 

The teenager is set to return to the Championship after spending the first half of the season with Sheffield Wednesday. 

Norwich have scheduled the 18-year-old in for a medical on Thursday.

Isidor has scored 4 Premier League goals this season, but hasnt netted since October.

Nwaneri in France for Marseille medical

Arsenal's Ethan Nwaneri is in France for a medical with Marseille following the agreement of a loan deal.  

The move is expected to be confirmed in the next 24 hours.

It is a straight loan until the end of the season for more game time, with Nwaneri still in Arsenal's long-term plans. 

Working with Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi to develop him is understood to be a major factor behind the move.

A number of Premier League and European clubs were interested in getting Nwaneri on loan this month. 

The 18-year-old signed a new Arsenal contract until 2030 last summer.
